Privacy policy

Dandelion collects no data. This page spells out what that means for the apps and for this website.

The apps for iPhone and Mac

The simulation runs entirely on your device. The apps have no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party code, and they make no network connections of their own. Settings such as display preferences are stored on your device and stay there. When you open a link from the app, for example to the physics notes on this site, the page opens in your browser like any other.

This website

The site serves a few static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. As with any web server, your IP address is processed to answer the request; access logs are not kept.

Distribution through Apple

The apps are distributed through the App Store and TestFlight, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy. If you have chosen to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple forwards crash reports and aggregate usage figures in anonymized form; nothing in them identifies you to us.

Contact

Neither the apps nor this site store personal data, so there is nothing we could look up, hand over, or delete on request. Questions are welcome at dandelion@smeingast.eu.

Effective 6 July 2026. If a future version of the app changes any of this, this page changes with it. Back to the main page.
